Frozen Drinks to Add to Your Menu This Fall

frozen drinks of fall

One thing about fall that everyone loves is the flavors that come with it. It’s important to change your menu with the seasons so that consumers can eagerly try out your new offerings. In this article, we’re going to go over a few ideas for frozen drink flavors that you can consider adding to your menu to make it more fall-friendly and festive.

Frozen Pumpkin Spice Latte

One idea, and probably the most popular drink of autumn, is the well-known pumpkin spice latte. Although the drink is traditionally served hot, there is no reason why you can’t turn it into a slushie. You can use ingredients that come in regular pumpkin spice lattes such as espresso, pumpkin spice syrup, and milk, and of course, top it with some whipped cream and a pinch of pumpkin spice. To make an efficient pumpkin spice latte slushie, your ingredients may need to be tweaked, and water or simple syrup may need to be added in. As with everything that goes into your Spaceman USA machine, just be sure that the brix level for your mixture is between 12 and 18 for the beverage to come out smoothly.

Fireball Apple Cider Slushie

Another frozen drink idea that’s a must-have on your restaurant’s menu this fall is a Fireball Apple Cider slushie. The drink can be made with three simple ingredients: Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, ginger ale, and apple cider. The apple cider provides the fruity, aromatic characteristic to the drink, the fireball provides the warming feeling as well as a spicy kick, and the ginger ale creates the perfect amount of carbonation to contrast the flat taste of the cider and whiskey. We made this recipe ourselves and it was a great success. You can check it out here. (We highly recommend it!)

Sangria Bourbon Slushie

Many people may think that the citrusy wine mixture is only for summer time, but with the proper modifications, sangria can make the perfect fall cocktail. Typical sangrias consist of either red or white wine, and tend to be topped with fruits such as oranges, lemons, and/or cherries. You can easily mix up your own sangria for autumn, by adding in notes of apples, pears, bourbon, cider, and cinnamon sticks. We recommend using a white wine base such as pinot grigio, some apple cider, a touch of bourbon, and apples and cinnamon as a garnish. Once again, as long as your brix are at the proper level, your slushie will come out tasty and a perfect consistency.

Frozen Old Fashioned

The Old Fashioned is a cocktail that usually consists of bourbon whiskey, Angostura bitters, sugar, and an orange peel. Old Fashioned’s are great for the fall time due to bourbon’s autumnal feel and smooth flavor. For a frozen beverage machine, the recipe will need to be adjusted slightly with the addition of other ingredients such as lemonade, orange juice, and/or cherry brandy, depending on the type of Old Fashioned you want to make. You can check out this article which lists other types of fall-inspired Old Fashioned recipes that place an emphasis on fall flavor profiles.

Caramel Apple Slushie

In the fall, you can’t go wrong with apple flavored anything. People are out apple picking, drinking cider, and lighting up apple-scented candles. Everyone loves sinking their teeth into farm fresh apples covered in sweet and buttery caramel, so why not turn this into a slushie? This can be made by simply combining caramel vodka with apple cider, and garnishing with an apple slice and a dash of cinnamon.  This customer of ours made their very own caramel apple slushie and we’re sure it tastes as delightful as it looks. We hope our fall inspired drink list inspires you to create some citrusy yet spicy concoctions to keep your customers coming back for more all season.
